Our modern lifestyle is resulting in an increasing number of people being impacted by a small number of increasingly common but largely preventable illnesses. In Ireland, the most common of these so-called non-communicable (lifestyle related) diseases are diabetes, heart disease, stroke, COPD and some cancers (eg skin).
