Impact of Modern Lifestyle Behaviours on our Performance and Health
In our busy lives we tend to ignore the very warning signs that are intended to protect us: for example, increased weight, lack of energy, poor sleep, poor concentration and higher levels of stress.
Our modern lifestyle is resulting in an increasing number of people being impacted by a small number of increasingly common but largely preventable illnesses. In Ireland, the most common of these so-called non-communicable (lifestyle related) diseases are diabetes, heart disease, stroke, COPD and some cancers (eg skin). We have huge influence in reducing our risk of being impacted by many of these illnesses by making a number of small and specific lifestyle tweaks.
